About Me

Welcome to Words Like Silver!

About Me:

Hey y’all! I’m Grace! I’m a fifteen year old who likes to think that she is more like an adult.

I can’t even describe the depth of my passion for words. I’ve known that I’ve wanted to go into the publishing industry since I was twelve and know that this is what I’m meant to do with my life. I just want to work around books and it’s my dream to create them in any way possible. This is part of what I hope to be my road to that. Right now, I’m also an intern at Immortal Ink Publishing and an editor at Teen Eyes Editorial. After attending BookExpo America in June of 2012, I became absolutely certain that this is what I want to do with my life.

My favorite genre is paranormal romance, although I love fantasy, contemporary, and dystopian. Anything with romance or adventure (preferably both). I love any book that is passionate or makes me feel something strongly. My favorite book is Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly, and my favorite author is Alexandra Adornetto because of her accomplishments despite her age.

You can contact me at wordslikesilverblog (at) gmail (dot) com; my Twitter account is below. To contact me for a review request, guest post, interview, advertisement, or other content, email me or Tweet me!

I’m currently a freshman in high school. I live in Tampa, Florida with my three siblings (including my identical twin Hannah!), parents, and two dogs. I write as much as possible and find inspiration in whatever I can. I love editing and picking apart manuscripts, so if you’re interested in my services, check out the Teen Eyes page below! I’m also a dancer and a lacrosse player. I’m incredibly passionate about the things I love and I hope you find that as you read more about my blog.

About the Blog:

Words Like Silver was created in April of 2011 and has been passionately run ever since. I had started a blog in about November of 201o, but I didn’t know enough about blogging to keep it up and it was only in January of 2011 that I stumbled upon book blogger heaven: social media centered around books. Through Random Buzzers, Goodreads, and LibraryThing, I discovered bloggers and soon was dedicated to reading my favorite blogs. When I decided to start my own blog, it became a project diligently and happily run ever since. This blog is protected by copyright as well.

I think that’s enough about me. Go check out the rest of my blog!
Happy reading,

Grace

  1. THREE BOOKS IN A DAY?!? Ahhh, I’m so jealous! Where do you find the time? Wow, you really must plow through that TBR pile pretty fast! ;)

Ooh, you dance? That’s cool! :D I can’t dance- or play any sport, aside from my Wii- at all. :P I’ll just stick with reading!

  2. I also LOVE to read. I can’t read as fast as you yet( more like a book in 2 or 3 days for me) but I love reading your blog to see what books you like and get an idea of what to read next. I remember you from Camp Illahee in 2011, you always had your nose in a book. Love your blog!

    • Thank you so much! And you’re an Illahee girl? May have to check on Facebook to see if I’m friends with you! Sorry I’m blanking out on names, especially because I couldn’t go this year!

  3. Hi Grace! :) I love your blog!! And you’re 14?! It is soooo refreshing to find someone your age who cares about more than Jersey Shore or Instagram. I’m 19 and just started my own blog today and then stumbled upon yours. Check it out if you have time and I look forward to reading more of your posts in the future!

    • Hey Maggie!
Um, I’ve got a few! Thanks so much for asking me for help and for your lovely comments! I can email you a list, if you want? And you can always come to me with any questions. Fox’s Fiction, maybe?
      Grace
